Scholarships

Chinese Embassy donates rupees 3.76 million (120,000 Yuan) to Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS) of Sargodha University for establishing ‘Chinese Ambassador Scholarship’ program 2023. The funding will be used to award scholarships to the most talented as well as promising needy students besides promoting Chinese language and cultural activities at the University. Vice Chancellor of Sargodha University Prof. Dr. Qasir Abass appreciated the initiative of the Chinese Embassy and stated that this goodwill gesture will create significant impact on the lives of students and generate a healthy completion among the students to win the Awards. The Vice Chancellor in a short span of time has taken several initiatives to strengthen China Studies and linking the University with several Chinese institutions to ensure quality education – one of the central points of his vision. Dr. Fazal ur Rahman, Director, Pakistan Institute of China Studies, received the Donation-Cheque from the Chinese Ambassador H.E. Nong Rong at the Embassy. Chinese Ambassador assured the Director of continued support and appreciated the efforts undertaken by the University of Sargodha and PICS for running successful China Studies Program.
