Punjab as a region can claim a glorious past as the cradle of Harappan Civilisation and later acting as a gateway to Indian Gangetic plains for the Middle Eastern traders, kings, explorers, and travellers. Its importance within the subcontinent has been underlined both by a turbulent history and contemporary events. However, unlike other strategic regions of various continents, Punjab has not found the due academic recognition in the learning centres of Pakistan as well as in the rest of the world. One of the best ways to gain public and scholastic attention for Punjab was to establish the first-ever centre for Punjab Studies (ICPS).
We have a blend of unique as well as intellectual minds from across the globe to expedite the potential of Punjab center to its maximum ripeness.
