University of Sargodha contributing in women’s higher education leadership in Pakistan

University of Sargodha aims to bridge the gap in women’s leadership in higher education with a motive to uplift the notion of diversity, inclusion, and equity and endorse equal employment opportunities. 

University hereby proudly announce that one of the senior female faculty member Dr. Najma Iqbal Malik, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Psychology, University of Sargodha has recently completed a two-week intensive ‘Pakistan Higher Education Leadership Program U.S. Residency’ at Michigan State University (MSU) from August 28 to September 9, 2022, as a part of a two-year leadership development program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan and offered by Visiting International Professional Program (VIPP) in collaboration with MSU College of Education and National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE-HEC). The overarching goal of the program is to address the equity gap in women’s higher education leadership in Pakistan. The 2022 U.S.-based program aimed to provide 25 select Pakistani senior women leaders from academia and think tanks with professional development training and mentorship to acquire the skills necessary for decision-making and advancement and build a cadre of leaders to mentor future women leaders.
