VC UoS Felicitates China on the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Mao Zedong

Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha (UoS) Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the people of China on the 132nd birth anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong, acknowledging his lasting global influence and the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.

In his statement, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas described Mao Zedong as “a towering revolutionary leader and profound thinker whose legacy continues to inspire nations across the world.” He said Mao Zedong's emphasis on self-reliance, independence and sustainable development remains particularly meaningful for countries of the Global South.

He stated that the visionary leadership of Mao Zedong placed China firmly on the path of national rejuvenation and provided a model for developing nations striving for progress, justice and dignity.

Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted the longstanding Pakistan China friendship, calling it “as steadfast as the Karakoram Mountains,” and praised the shared commitment of both nations to peace, development and prosperity.

He further noted that Mao Zedong's belief in the transformative power of education aligns closely with the mission of the University of Sargodha. “We value our academic partnership with Chinese universities and remain committed to expanding collaboration for nurturing future leaders,” he added.

Extending best wishes to the Chinese nation, the Vice Chancellor said, “May the spirit of Comrade Mao Zedong continue to illuminate the path forward, and may our two countries progress together in peace and prosperity.”
