The University of Sargodha (UoS) hosted an awareness session titled "Each One Teaches One" under the Prime Minister's National Literacy Drive. The session aimed to promote literacy and improve education levels across the country.
The event was graced by Mr. Ali Asghar, Director General of the National Commission for Human Development, Islamabad, as the Chief Guest. While Vice Chancellor UoS, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Pro Vice-Chancellor UoS Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin, director ORIC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal, faculty members, and a large number of students attended this session.
Mr. Ali Asghar highlighted the importance of education, stating that the "Each One Teaches One" initiative is not just a program but a movement with the potential to bring about societal transformation, especially in rural and underdeveloped areas. “Education is the foundation of a nation’s progress, and we ensure that knowledge reaches every corner of our society,” he remarked.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas praised the Prime Minister’s "Each One Teaches One" initiative. Stated that education is not just about personal success; it is about sharing knowledge to uplift communities. We believe in preparing students not only academically but also by encouraging them to serve their communities. This initiative reflects the true spirit of learning and helping others." He remarked
Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin shared his satisfaction with the university’s involvement in the literacy drive. He applauded the students for setting a great example and supporting the mission of spreading education across the country. “This initiative is part of our vision to create a more inclusive educational environment. When you teach others, you not only share knowledge but also help bridge the gaps in our education system,” he said.
The initiative empowers individuals to teach and share knowledge within their communities, and students participating in the program will be awarded 10 additional marks as part of their academic progress.
