The University of Sargodha (UoS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Hospital Mushaf, Sargodha, to designate the hospital as a Teaching Hospital for the University’s Nursing College.
The agreement aims to enhance clinical education and training opportunities for nursing students, aligning academic learning with professional healthcare practices.
Under the MoU, the 300-bedded PAF Hospital Mushaf will serve as the primary clinical training site for nursing students of the University of Sargodha.
According to the MoU, a Clinical Liaison Committee comprising representatives from both institutions will ensure smooth coordination of academic and hospital-based training. The Nursing College will appoint a Clinical Coordinator to manage schedules and training activities in line with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) requirements.
The University will also offer in-service training sessions for PAF Hospital nursing staff, free of cost, to promote professional development. Two seats each in the morning and evening nursing programs will be reserved for PAF employees or their dependents.
Under the agreement, the University of Sargodha will be responsible for academic and administrative matters, while PAF Hospital will provide access to its facilities, wards, and specialist staff for clinical instruction. The one-year internship following the four-year BS Nursing program will also be conducted at the PAF Hospital.
