UoS Hosts Seminar on Roadmap to Government Jobs in Pakistan

The Career Development Center, University of Sargodha organized a seminar titled “Roadmap to Government Jobs in Pakistan” to equip students with strategies for navigating the CSS journey and cracking one-paper exams.

The guest speakers were Ali Saleh Hayat Kalyar, Additional Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office Sargodha, and Shajar Abbas, Director Jinnah Executive Services Group of Academies, and Former District Officer Sub-National Governance Program Punjab Government.

Ali Saleh Hayat Kalyar emphasized the importance of consistency, discipline, and effective time management in preparing for competitive examinations. He highlighted that success in CSS requires strategic preparation, and urged students to develop a deep understanding of national and international affairs and to focus on analytical thinking rather than rote learning.

Shajar Abbas highlighted the significance of goal setting and self-motivation for achieving success in government service. He stated that every student has the potential to excel if they remain committed and organized. He further discussed the structure of one-paper exams and provided practical tips for effective preparation.

The seminar concluded with an engaging question and answer segment, where students interacted with the speakers and sought guidance on various aspects of competitive exam preparation and career planning. Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal and Career Development Officer Masooma Zahra presented souvenirs to guests.
