The Directorate of Information Technology, University of Sargodha organized a seminar titled "Latest ICT Trends and Cisco Netacad" to discuss emerging technologies, global ICT developments, significance of Cisco networking academy certificates and career opportunities in the digital landscape.
Addressing the Seminar Faheem Anwar Country Manager of Cisco Networking Academy emphasized the importance of equipping students with in demand technical skills through globally recognized certifications. He specifically highlighted the Cisco academy’s role in preparing students particularly those in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Engineering with industry standard qualifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Enterprise, Security, and Wireless domains.
Dean, Faculty of IT, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, and Director IT, Ishtiaq Ahmad Gondal, also addressed the seminar. Following the seminar, a meeting was held between the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Ishtiaq Ahmad Gondal, and Faheem Anwar to discuss the establishment of a Cisco Networking Academy at the University of Sargodha.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas emphasized that this collaboration will mark a pivotal step towards integrating globally benchmarked IT training into our academic framework. He stated that by aligning our curriculum with international industry standards will not only enhance the technical competencies of our students but also significantly improve their employability in both local and global job markets.
Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Gondal extended gratitue to the guest speaker and reaffirmed the University’s dedication to fostering academic industry linkages that drive innovation, skill development, and professional excellence among students.
