University of Sargodha Hosts Conference on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ

Celebrating 1500 Years of the Blessed Birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the University of Sargodha organized a conference titled “Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ: Intellectual and Practical Guidance for the Muslim Ummah” under the auspices of the Department of Islamic Studies.
Prof. Dr. Hamad Lakhvi Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies University of the Punjab was chief guest while Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas was guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Pro. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Prof. Dr. Rahila Khalid Quraishi Dean faculty of Islamic & Arabic Studies University of Bhawalpur and Syed Riaz Hussain Rizvi renowned religious.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted that the Seerat of the Holy Prophet PBUH provides a complete code of life. He said that in today’s world of social, cultural, and ideological challenges, following his example is the only way to achieve peace and harmony at both individual and collective levels.
Prof. Dr. Hamad Lakhvi emphasized that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH was sent by Allah as a messenger whose guidance serves as a timeless light for all humanity until the Day of Judgment. He further noted that the intellectual legacy of the Prophet PBUH shows us that knowledge, tolerance, and justice form the foundation of a strong society. 
Dr. Farhat Nasim Alvi Chairman Department of Islamic studies presented vote of thanks to guests and stated that by organizing this conference, we aimed to provide intellectual and practical guidance to the youth through the teachings of the Holy Prophet PBUH.
Prof. Dr. Rahila Khalid Quraishi underlined that the title Rahmatul-lil-Alameen reflects that the Holy Prophet PBUH was a source of guidance and compassion for not only the Muslim Ummah but for all of humanity. She stated that Prophet PBUH served humanity with compassion and kindness, regardless of colour, caste, or creed.
Syed Riaz Hussain Rizvi rietrited that the message of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH is universal and eternal. He said that Muslim Ummah can regain its lost dignity by adopting his teachings in true spirit and applying them in every walk of life.
The Conference was attended by Director Students Affairs Dr. Mahmood ul Hassan, Dean Faculty of Computing and IT Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Principal College of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Ijaz Rasool Noorka, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Feroz-ud-Din Shah, Mr. Nasir Haroon Manager Alumni Office, faculty members and a large number of students.
