The Department of Urdu, in collaboration with the Alumni Office, organized an Alumni Mushaira at the University of Sargodha.

 The event was presided over by Poet Prof. Yousaf Khalid, Prominent alumni poets, including Dr. Arshad Malik, Dr. Abid Khurshid, Dr. Dawood Rahat, Dr. Murtaza Hasan, Asher Waqeel Rao, Zulfiqar Ahsan, Tafzeel Shirazi, Irfan Haider, Mustahsan Raza Jami, and Saim Shirazi, participated.

Prof. Dr. Naseem Abbas Ahmar, Chairperson of the Department of Urdu, welcomed the poets and highlighted the cultural significance of Mushairas, stating that poetry reflects the pulse of society and is a vital part of literary heritage.

Assistant Director Alumni, Nasir Haroon, addressed students, emphasizing that the experiences of alumni can serve as guidance in their careers.

The Mushaira commenced with poetry by Dr. Shafiq Asif, followed by guest poets and faculty member Dr. Imran Azfar. Prof. Yousuf Khalid shared his own poetry and underscored the role of Mushairas in Urdu literature.

In her concluding remarks, Dr. Samira Ijaz, Focal Person Alumni, praised the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor and expressed gratitude for the event. A large number of students attended and engaged enthusiastically.
