After assuming the charge as Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan called on Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas in his office.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas congratulated Dr. Awan on his appointment, describing it as a highly welcome development for the institution. He expressed confidence that the experience, dedication, and leadership of Dr. Awan would further strengthen academic and research initiatives and enhance the efficiency of administrative affairs, ushering the University into a new era of progress.
Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan termed it an honor to work under the leadership of a visionary Vice Chancellor like Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, who, in a short span, has elevated the University of Sargodha to the ranks of the country’s leading higher education institutions. 
Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan is among the most senior faculty members in Economics, serving as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and previously as Head of the Department of Economics. He has also held the positions of Director Academics and Treasurer at the University.
His appointment has been warmly welcomed by the faculty, administrative officers, staff, and students, who expressed optimism that his leadership will contribute to the University’s continued growth and excellence.
