Well known Chinese exporters Chris Chu and Yousaf Fa met with the Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas on Monday. The purpose of the meeting was to promote the local industry of Sargodha particularly in the field of handicraft, furniture, citrus and other products. The Vice Chancellor said that the local industry plays a key role in the development and success of any country and our neighbor friend China has achieved economic goals through strengthening its local industry. There are vast opportunities for mutual trade between China and Pakistan and we have to learn from China's economic models, he added.

The Vice Chancellor said that the Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a significant project for both countries and it will create new opportunities especially in the field of trade. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas briefed the delegation about the research and academic activities of University of Sargodha especially in the field of sciences. He said that many competent and hardworking teachers of University of Sargodha have been registered as patents.

At this moment Mr. Chris Chu and Mr. Yousaf Fa praised the qualified faculty of University of Sargodha and appreciated the steps taken by the University to promote research and industry-academia linkages.
