Department Overview The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Systems was established in 2013 as part of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Sargodha. It offers teaching and research in various fields of Electrical Engineering and serves students, scholars, and professionals interested in the discipline. Our vision is to be a leading department in teaching and research in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Our mission is to deliver rigorous, practice-oriented education, produce meaningful research, and develop graduates who are skilled, ethical, and prepared for the demands of industry. The department offers BSc Electrical Engineering, BSc Computer Engineering, and MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering. The curriculum combines strong theoretical foundations with practical training and is reviewed regularly in line with national and international standards and industry needs. Our teaching is delivered by highly qualified faculty, including nine PhD holders, who are active researchers and experienced practitioners. Students learn in well-equipped laboratories and have access to modern library resources. In recent years, the department has launched the BSc Computer Engineering program, published research in well-reputed journals, and strengthened its industry linkages. Students take part in internships, projects, competitions, seminars, and community outreach, which help them apply what they learn beyond the classroom. Looking ahead, we are committed to modernizing our facilities, expanding research, and building industry partnerships. Our graduates work in public and private sector institutions, including the power sector, industrial automation, etc. Others continue to higher studies at local and international institutions. They contribute to their fields as professionals, researchers, and leaders, and leave with sound subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and a clear sense of professional responsibility.
