China-Pak Technology Transfer Center and TCM Program to be established at UoS

Sargodha, October 09, 2024. The University of Sargodha (UoS) in partnership with Tianjin University, China has agreed to establish the China-Pak Technology Transfer Center. The decision was made during a meeting between Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Vice Chancellor UoS, and the Vice President of Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park, Tianjin.

The center will serve as a platform for advancing research, innovation, and technology transfer between the two countries, focusing on key areas such as information technology, engineering, and emerging technologies. This initiative is set to enhance bilateral cooperation, create opportunities for joint research, and promote sustainable development in both nations.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas also met with representatives from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The two institutions agreed to initiate a TCM program at the University of Sargodha under the Transnational Education (TNE) policy.

This collaborative initiative aims to introduce Traditional Chinese Medicine education in Pakistan, fostering cultural exchange and providing students with unique learning opportunities in an emerging medical field.
