100 business ideas got recognition during "Future Innovator Contest 2024" held at University of Sargodha

Sargodha, October 3, 2024. . Waheed Wain Incubation Center hosted "Future Innovator Contest 2024" here at University of Sargodha. Around 100 students from various universities participated and showcased their business ideas.
Minister Higher Education Department Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat inaugurated the contest along with VC UoS Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas.
While addressing the opening ceremony, Rana Sikandar Hayat lauded the university's efforts in encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship. "The Punjab government is committed to support educational institutions like the University of Sargodha in nurturing young entrepreneurs. The innovations showcased in the contest reflect the immense potential that lies within our youth." He added.
He further said that our students are the future leaders, and we aim to equip them with the right tools for success."
Dr. Qaisar Abbas expressed his satisfaction on the role of UoS in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth. "We are committed to create an environment where young minds can bring their ideas to life, contributing to the economic and social development of the region and beyond," he concluded.
Pro VC UoS Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin emphasized the significance of such platforms for students. He further said that events like the Future Innovator Contest are critical in helping students not only to think critically but also to refine and implement their ideas.
Director ORIC, Prof.Dr.Ahmad Raza Bilal stated that we are dedicated to turning research into marketable innovations. The ideas presented today have the potential to transform industries and drive economic progress.
On this occasion, Rana Sikandar Hayat also inaugurated newly constructed cafeterias and a state-of-the-art gymnasium at the University of Sargodha.
