Graduated in Biology from the Punjab University (1996), MSc (2000) and MPhil (2002) in field of Zoology from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. PhD (2017) in Zoology from University of Sargodha. Assistant Professor at the University of Sargodha , where she coordinates the Laboratory of Toxicology and acts as a master's and doctoral advisor in the Post-Graduate Program in Zoology.
Her research primarily focuses on advancing sustainable aquaculture practices through the integration of innovative technologies like biofloc systems. Her research aims to bridge the gap between traditional aquaculture methods and modern technological advancements to create more efficient, productive, and sustainable aquaculture systems. She has extensively studied the ecological patterns of aquatic ecosystems, the impact of heavy metal contamination on both terrestrial and aquatic environments, and the public health implications of these contaminants.
Her work in biofloc technology has focused on enhancing water quality, fish nutrition, fish health, and overall productivity in aquaculture systems, making significant contributions to the field. she believes in fostering a collaborative and supportive research environment where students and colleagues can thrive and contribute to the advancement of our field.
Her goal is to continue making meaningful contributions to sustainable aquaculture practices while also promoting the importance of environmental stewardship and public health. Her work has been recognized through various research grants and collaborations, reflecting the importance and impact of her contributions to the field.
