Founded in September 2023, the Department of Software Engineering in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology stands as a hub for innovation, critical thinking, and technical expertise. Through the combined efforts of diligent students, experienced faculty, and a forward-looking curriculum, the department is committed to advancing knowledge and driving meaningful impact in the world of computing. The department equips students with future-ready skills through four comprehensive degree offerings: undergraduate programs in Computer Science specializing in Software Engineering, Data Science, and Human-Computer Interaction, alongside an advanced MS program in Software Engineering. Supported by state-of-the-art computer labs and other infrastructure, students bridge the gap between academic theory and practical execution, developing solutions across user experience, data analytics, and scalable software systems. Our research ecosystem excels in high-impact areas including Software Engineering, Data Science, Generative AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Our achievements include published books, patents, industrial consultancies, and high-ranked national and international research papers.
