Sargodha, 2 October 2026: The Women Development Center (WDC), University of Sargodha, celebrated the International Day of Non-Violence by organizing an awareness activity on the theme “Peace, Respect and Empathy.” The activity aimed to encourage students to reflect on the importance of peace and non-violence in everyday life.

As part of the activity, students were asked “What do you mean by Peace?” Students shared their views and described peace as respecting others, understanding differences, helping one another, avoiding conflict, listening to others, and creating an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

The activity was organized under the leadership of Dr. Nargis Abbas, Associate Professor and Incharge, Women Development Center, with Mam Zarqa Azhar, Department of Sociology and Criminology, as the keynote speaker. The session highlighted the importance of empathy, tolerance, respectful communication, and peaceful conflict resolution.
