Shumaila Islam is a visual artist. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, she is M. Phil in studio Practice Art & Design from PUCAD. Shumaila.I is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, writer, and entrepreneur whose practice reflects a commitment to creative exploration and critical thinking. She has participated in numerous national art exhibitions, including calligraphy showcases, and continues to develop her interest in curatorship. Shumaila.I has published articles on significant art exhibitions, contributing to contemporary art dialogue in International Art Magazines ARTNOW PAKISTAN & NIGAH. Her work is rooted in experimentation, drawing from personal experiences and observations to explore themes of self, ecology, materiality, and spirituality. Through her roles as an artist and educator, she remains dedicated to fostering artistic growth and engaging meaningfully with the cultural landscape.
