Overview

College of Pharmacy is constituent college of University of Sargodha which is a public sector university of the Punjab, Pakistan. The Department of Pharmacy was established as in 2003 and upgraded to a constituent college as College of Pharmacy under the Faculty of Pharmacy. The College is offering a flagship degree program “Doctor of Pharmacy” (Pharm.D.) that is being offered under semester system since 2003 and constitutes 05 years (10 semesters). Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree is one of the leading degrees of Medical field at national and international level. College of Pharmacy is recognized by the Central Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and graduates are registered by Punjab Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. Pharm.D. curriculum approved by the Higher Education Commission and Pharmacy Council of Pakistan is implemented in the College. Postgraduate programs are being offered under the Faculty of Pharmacy which offer various interdisciplinary research projects for Pharm.D. students of the College. College of Pharmacy is collaborating with Pharmaceutical Industries for internships / trainings of pharmacy students. Students of the College start clinical practical trainings / clerkships from 4th year (7th semester) at District Head Quarters (DHQ) Hospital Sargodha. College of Pharmacy is also collaborating with other private hospitals, community pharmacies / retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical distributors and healthcare administrative units for hands-on trainings of pharmacy students. College of Pharmacy is an academic partner of Health & Population Department of the Government of the Punjab, Pakistan. The Punjab Government through Drug Control Administration unit of Health Department of the Govt. of Punjab is providing opportunities for pharmacy students of final year at Drugs Testing Labs, Chief Drugs Controller Office, Provincial Quality Control Board and Drug Procurement office. Graduates of the College are being registered and working at USA, UK, KSA, UAE, Australia, Norway, China and other technically advanced countries.
