Introduction to the Department of Civil, Environment and Transportation Systems The Department of Civil, Environment and Transportation Systems (DCETS), University of Sargodha, is committed to providing quality education, promoting research, and developing skilled professionals in the fields of civil engineering, environmental sustainability, and transportation systems. The department is part of the College of Engineering and Technology, which was established in 2013 to promote engineering education, technological advancement, and research at the University of Sargodha. The department commenced its engineering and technology academic programs in 2014, with a commitment to meeting the prescribed academic, professional, and quality assurance standards of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the National Technology Council (NTC), as applicable to the respective programs. The department aims to equip students with sound theoretical knowledge, practical expertise, analytical abilities, and professional ethics to address contemporary challenges in infrastructure development, construction engineering, environmental management, transportation planning, and road safety. Its academic approach emphasizes Outcome-Based Education (OBE), student-centered learning, practical laboratory training, industry engagement, and continuous improvement in teaching and assessment practices.
