Regular Student

Students may be allowed to withdraw from a course during 4-6 weeks of the semester. In such a case the transcript shall record that the student enrolled in the course and withdrew. Consequently, grade W will be awarded to the student which shall have no impact on the calculation of the CGPA of the student. Students would be required to submit the application in the office of the Chairperson.

A student may discontinue his/her studies by seeking a semester freeze during the semester before the final term examination on medical grounds or circumstances beyond his/her control with the written permission of the Chairperson/Principal/Director of the Department/College/Institute/School concerned subject to the condition that semester fee shall not be transferred/refunded. During the semester freeze, the bonafide status of the student shall remain suspended provided that discontinuation shall not be allowed for more than two years in any case.

The summer semester shall be offered at the end of each academic year as an optional semester of 08-09 weeks duration. Students will be offered the course(s) to remove deficiencies. A student who has either failed or has been stopped to take the examination due to shortage of class attendance or wishes to improve his/her grade is allowed to register in summer.

A student may repeat fail courses and/or improve the grade/s of the already pass the course(s) in the summer semester or relevant semester or where the course/s is/are being offered within the prescribed maximum time limit of the program. In this case, a student shall enrol the course(s) in the summer semester in which the course(s) is/are being offered, by paying the prescribed fee. Such course(s) shall be marked under asterisk (*) in the provisional and official transcript.

The migration of a student from another University to the University of Sargodha will be governed only in accordance with the Migration Policy of the University of Sargodha, provided that the student falls in the merit list drawn by the University and belongs to a university recognized by HEC.

If you meet the eligibility criteria at the time of admissions of SU. Then provide the following documents:

·         Application for migration(original)

·         Copy of CNIC

·         Copy of Intermediate result card

·         Copy of Result card/transcript (previous passed semester)

·         2 passport size pictures

·         Original receipt of paid Challan as processing fee

·         Course contents (for Department Concerned)

 Migrations shall not be allowed/granted during 1st semester/year (if incomplete) 

After the initial process, you would be informed if you meet the criteria of migration, then you are required to produce the following:

·         NOC from your present University (currently in which you are already studying) for the issuance of migration certificate from Sargodha University.

A student may repeat the course(s) during the course of study to improve the grades. In this case, the student shall enroll the course(s) with the permission of the Chairperson/Principal/ Director of the Department/College/ Institute/School in the semester in which the course(s) is being offered, by paying the prescribed enrollment fee. Such course(s) shall be marked under asterisk (*) in the semester/official transcript. Moreover, a student who has obtained the final transcript issued by the Controller of Examinations can also improve his/her grades by enrolling the course(s) within the prescribed time limit of the program.

In the case of improvement, the better grades shall be reflected in the semester/official transcript. However, such students shall not be considered eligible for a position/scholarship in the relevant examination.

There is no limit to improve a course within the maximum degree period, provided that the student has not availed the official transcript. 

The maximum duration for the completion of various programs is as under:

1-Year  diploma                 Two Years

BS or equivalent                Six Years

MPhil                                 Four Years

PhD                                   Eight Years

The student is advised to contact the supporting office of the respective department.

The students would be required to submit the clearance form in his/her relevant teaching department. Clearance form is available at: (Weblink required from WDC)

University Students required to submit the application in the office of the respective Chairperson/Principal/Director; whereas, the students studying under term system (affiliated colleges) shall submit the application in the office of the Principal of the college and the Principal shall forward the application to the concerned Chairperson/Principal/Director of teaching department of the University. The application shall be submitted along with processing fee @Rs. 500 in the prescribed University account. 

The final decision will be issued in 30 working days 

A recommendation letter for higher studies is to be issued by your teachers and research supervisor of a previous degree. Please request them in person, their contact details are available at (Weblink required from WDC)

Regular Admissions

University offers admissions in the months of August/September in all faculties except the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical and Allied Health Sciences. The Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical and Health Sciences offers admission in the month of October/November.

Yes, SU conducts admission tests for MS/MPhil/PhD, ADCP, MSc Physical Education (fitness test) and drawing test for BS Programs of Institute of Arts and Design.

The age limit is 24 years for all BS programs and 26 years for all MA/MSc programs

Note: This age limit does not apply to the disciplines of BEd, MBA (Executive), MSc Criminology and MPhil/PhD programs. The age limit is also not applicable to the following candidates: 

a. Spouse of University Employees seeking admission against the reserved seat. 

b. Employees of the University. 

c. Army Personnel

As some of the transcripts provided by the students do not contain the detailed marks/percentage of marks so it becomes impossible to calculate merit on the basis of CGPA only. As it is the responsibility of students to provide the detailed marks sheet so they may be asked to provide the detailed marks sheet to the department before the last date for submission of forms. If they fail to furnish the marks sheet they shall stand ineligible for admission as merit cannot be calculated on the basis of CGPA only.

Any reserved seat which remains unfilled at the closing date or extended period shall not be transferred to the merit quota.

Yes, the form transfer will be allowed to only those programs/departments in which the seats will remain vacant at the closure of the admission process and there are no waiting candidates i.e. lists have been displayed till the last entry. The students interested in the transfer of Admission will be required to submit an application on a prescribed form recommended by the Chairpersons of both the Departments, to the Chairperson Admission Committee.
