Department of Earth Sciences was established in 2006 at University of Sargodha that offers education in Geology & Geography with a wide range of programs central to the Earth Sciences. These programmes include PhD, MS and B.S in Geology whereas M Phil, and BS degrees in Geography. To provide quality education in these disciplines, the department has assembled a well-qualified faculty with strong linkages to national and international institutions.
The department’s vision is to spearhead education, innovation, and exploration in Earth Science while also tackling the challenges related to energy, hazards, and the environment for the betterment of humanity. Our educational and research programmes aim to produce well trained, competent and professional scientists capable of meeting the needs of society.
Our Mission is to enhance comprehension of our planet and its atmosphere by employing cutting-edge scientific methods, interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting education, and fostering societal involvement.
